Ilham Aliyev makes himself scarce from Economical Forum
The International Economical Forum was kicked off Friday in St. Petersburg, gathering together among other world leaders and businessmen the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan, who had held earlier a trilateral meeting along with Russian President with an aim to discuss the Madrid Document.
The trilateral meeting’s results were commented by Russian administration and Armenian Foreign Minister while the Azerbaijani side is still keeping from any commentaries.
Some sources told Aysor that there were attendants of the Forum who were surprised at the absence of Azerbaijan’s Presidetn Ilham Aliev.
As it turned out later, President Aliev has suddenly left St. Petersburg after meeting with OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.
It is noteworthy to mention that a spokesperson to Aliev has officially announced the aim of Azerbaijani President’s visit to St. Petersburg. And this aim was to participate in the International Economical Forum, which is scheduled to last from June 17 to 19.
