The probability of the resumption of Karabakh war is low
The probability of the resumption of open hostilities phase of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict at the moment is less probable, but is not also excluded. The Russian political scientist Andrey Areshev, Deputy Director General of the Strategic Culture Foundation said on the interview with the reporters.
"I think the probability of the resumption of open hostilities phase at the moment is unlikely to start, although it, unfortunately, can not completely be excluded," he said.
Asked by journalists whether the opinion that the trilateral meetings of the Presidents of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia lead to nothing are justified, and the resolution of the conflict must be sought not in them, and not even in the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group, the political scientist answered that this kind of opinion too has the right to exist.
"According to many experts, the settlement of the Karabakh issue is now at an impasse due to the diametrically opposite positions of the parties, as well as due to the objective complexity and multifactor conflict", he said.
