Russia and Georgia to settle their relations without Sahakashvili
Russia and Georgia will settle their relations, but not during the presidency of the acting president Mikheil Sahakashvili, Russian president Dmitri Medvedev announced during his speech delivered in the Stenford University in the frameworks of the visit to the USA.
“I don’t see how I can do it during the presidency of the acting president,” said Medvedev and stressed that he would like to return the relations with Georgia to a better condition.
“Even more, I am sure that it will take place,” the RF President stressed adding that “the question is only when it will take place.”
“Speaking in language of law, he has committed crime. But he should be responsible in front of the Georgian nation and not Russian,” D. Medvedev said and added, “I think as soon as Georgia gets a new president we will seize the chance to settle our relations.”
