Monument to Joseph Stalin replaced in Georgia’s Gori town
A monument to Soviet leader Joseph Stalin has been replaced from the central square in Georgian town of Gori.
A spokesperson to town’s City Hall told Interfax that the monument will be installed in the territory of House Museum of Joseph Stalin, which is located a few hundred meters from the central square.
Georgian officials said that Gori’s central square is to be named after “lost heroes who were killed in war against Russia in August of 2008.”
“An honoring them monument will be installed here,” City Hall spokesperson said.
