Azerbaijan against Frantisek Mikloshko’s mission to NKR
Slovakia’s National Council has received a letter from Azerbaijan’s lawmakers and politicians, who expressed their dissatisfaction with observatory mission of a member of Slovak Parliament, Mr Frantisek Mikloshko to Nagorno Karabakh, press office of the Forum of Armenian Associations of Europe said.
The letter is addressed to chairman of the Slovak National Council Pavol Pashke. It contains signatures of 12 political parties of the Azerbaijani Parliament and claims against entrance (of Frantisek Mikloshko) into as they called it -- unrecognized by the international powers republic of Nagorno Karabakh, which is part of Azerbaijan, without any permission from Azerbaijan, said the FAAE press office. Azerbaijani politicians expressed their protest against Frantisek Mikloshko’s observation of -- as they described it -- “the so-called parliamentary elections in Nagorno Karabakh.”
The letter remained without response because it was said earlier that Slovak lawmaker Frantisek Mikloshko in an independent observer and the National Council of Slovakia doesn’t consider any necessity to comment the issue.
Frantisek Mikloshko, in his part, said he is going to cover in Europe the past and present of Nagorno Karabakh in full seize bringing it in response to those claims and complains.
There already have been received numerous comments on an article “The Country Beyond” published in “Tijden” weekly. Many readers, including politicians, expressed their surprise that they had no idea what problems there are in Nagorno Karabakh, and that they haven’t been informed about its past and future.
“Mr Mikloshko has received numerous requests to give more information about (Nagorno Karabakh) and the issue, and this is the subject he is going to pay an attention in the near months,” said in the statement by FAAE.
