2009 Report: 41 billion drams spent on road construction
Armenia’s Minister of Transport and Communications, Manouk Vardanian, said Monday at the press conference that roads equal to 415 kilometers were constructed and renovated throughout Armenia in 2009. These activities took 41 billion drams, he said.
In total there were implemented three programs, which were supported by the Armenian government which directed funds from state budget. Other supporters were the World Band and the Asian Bank, according to Minister.
Minister Vardanian pointed there are programs of 2 billion drams cost, which are scheduled for 2010, and these projects are to be funded by the state budget. He added that the building companies are being selected on the competitive basis.
