Iran must step back and meet demands, says Sergey Lavrov
Iran must step back and accept the demands of the international community as well as prove the peaceful nature of its nuclear program, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is quoted as saying.
“We should be open-eyed in relation to Iran and be sure that its nuclear program is really peaceful. We should insist that Iran acted strongly within the resolution by the UN Security Council and decisions by IAEA. It’s also important to turn Iran back to negotiations,” Lavrov said in Jerusalem at the meeting with his Israeli counterpart Tzipi Livni.
