Yerevan to have biggest business center in region
A delegation led by Moscow City First Deputy Mayor Vladimir Resin arrived on official visit in Yerevan on June 29 at the invitation of Yerevan Mayor Gagik Beglaryan. The delegation visited Yerevan Mayor’s Office today. Welcoming the guests Yerevan Mayor hailed Moscow government efforts in the stable cooperation field between the two capital cities.
The sides discussed issues related to implementation of urban development investment programs in Noragyugh district of Yerevan as well as cooperation between Yerevan and Moscow. Vladimir Resin rating important the urban development program to be implemented in Noragyugh district noted: “Moscow chief architect is also included in our delegation. Armenians are good builders, and I think we will achieve good results with your specialists.” He added that the program is very important for city development.
Yerevan Mayor also attached importance to interest Moscow government and Moscow investors show in the urban development investment program to be implemented in Noragyugh.
According to Mayor’s Office press service, Yerevan Mayor Gagik Beglaryan and Vladimir Resin visited monument to Admiral Isakov to watch the territory intended for construction.
Note that Noragyugh district is located in the vicinity of Isakov Avenue. Paskevich Hill with neighboring area intended for construction is nearly 158 hectares.
The project and model of new business and cultural center of Yerevan was represented to the guests. Gagik Beglaryan and Vladimir Resin answered media questions. Speaking about project goal Mr. Beglaryan said that current Yerevan center is very busy. “Yerevan needs a new center that we plan to build in the Noragyugh district, we will conventionally name it New Yerevan (Nor Yerevan),” Mr. Beglaryan said adding that the new center will have international, business, diplomatic, cultural, educational and other functional structures, technoparks, business centers, student buildings, residential houses, green zones.
