Comprehensive Observation of Notary Offices in Armenia
A report on comprehensive study and public monitoring of Armenia’s notary offices was delivered on June 30 in Yerevan.
The survey’s aim was to discover any possible omissions and corruption risks, according to Karen Zadoyan, a chairman of the Association of Young Lawyers of Armenia. In result “The Comprehensive Observation of Notary Offices of Armenia” was prepared and delivered.
“[This observation] leads to strengthening of the state management, increasing of the public trust towards state bodies, and development of democracy,” said Karen Zadoyan. He pointed that there are being carried out activities aimed at improvement and reforming of the discovered omissions.
Such kinds of events are measures to overcome corruption risks, stated Armenia’s Vice Premier Armen Gevorkian and representative of the OSCE Yerevan Office Carel Hofstra.
“Legislative initiatives become more reasonable and effective, when they meet the public opinion,” said Minister of Justice of Armenia, Gevork Danielian.
It was reported that the most common violations were identified in sphere of confidentiality: the observation discovered may cases of violation of principle of confidentiality.
