Armenia’s PM, Glendale’s Mayor talk about cooperation in tourism

Armenia’s Prime Minister Tigran Sarkisian hosted Tuesday Glendale’s Mayor Ara Najarian, who is on a visit to Armenia for participation in the All-Armenian Conference entitled “State of learning Western Armenian language within Diaspora.” The Conference has been organised by Armenia’s Ministry of Diaspora. 

Welcoming the guest, Armenian Prime Minister said of the role of the Armenian Community of Glendale. Ara Najarian, in his part, thanked for hosting and said of necessity of comprehensive covering within the Armenian Communities the successes and achievements of Armenia.

Parties touched issues of the Armenian identity and in this context they stressed the importance of activities by Ministry of Diaspora. In particular they talked about the “Come home” campaign which was successfully implemented.

Sarkisian and Najarian also talked about issues related to tourism and trade. Tigran Sarkisian stressed the importance of cooperation between Armenian-US Trade Chamber, the Armenian Agency of Development and the Armenian National Competitiveness Foundation.
