Armenia’s military advise Sabiroglu to remember history
Armenia’s Defense Ministry has issued a statement commenting groundless claims and notes by Azerbaijani officials. In particular, Armenian DM said that hadn’t received any request from Azerbaijan’s officials claiming to give back a body of a killed Azerbaijani diversionist.
During the night of June 18-19, 2010, a group of armed Azerbaijani diversionists passed the Line of Contact between Azerbaijan and Nagorno Karabakh and killed four Armenian soldiers; four others were wounded. Armenian forces stopped the diversion; in the attack one Azerbaijani soldier, M.Ibrahimov, was killed; other diversionists escaped.
The press office of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan issued a statement that the Armenian side doesn’t want to give Ibrahimov’s body back to Azerbaijan. However, neither requests were received, said Armenian military.
“And we strongly advise the spokesperson to Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry [Sabiroglu] to leaf through pages of history and remember ethnic cleanings and massacres in Sumgait, Baku, Maraga, where civil Armenian population was killed; remember killed and displaced form Shaumian and Getashen, those dozens of thousands of civil people; remember the Armenian officer who was killed by Azerbaijani soldier while was sleeping. So we advise the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry spokesperson not to speak about human and moral norms,” said in the statement.
