H. Clinton to visit South Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will be on visit to South Korea, Vietnam and Afghanistan from today to July 23, U.S. Department of State mentioned in a release, as reported by RIA Novosti.
“In Seoul, H. Clinton and United States Secretary of Defense Robert Gates will meet with their South Korean colleagues to mark the 60th anniversary of Korean war (“2+2” format). They will also meet with Korean President Lee Myung-Bak,” the report read.
In Vietnam, Clinton will meet with high-ranking political figures to discuss issues of much significance for the region. The Secretary of State will also attend dinner dated to the 15th anniversary of U.S.-Vietnam cooperation.
“Besides, the Secretary of State will lead the American delegation at the 17th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Regional Forum to be held in Hanoi,” document read.
