Heavy rains kill six people in Turkey; seven more missed
Heavy rains caused a river to burst its banks in Sachlyk village of the eastern province of Erzurum in Turkey, flooding the village and killing six people, among them two children, from the same family. Seven more people are believed missed, one person is wounded, local media reported. Bodies of dead people are already found and identified.
The heavy rains started Wednesday in the afternoon; according to the report by head of the Khorasan local administration, Mahmut Agbal, the rains damaged fields and houses; besides they caused the closure of Erzrum-Mush highway, he added.
