Venezuela threatens to cut off oil to U.S.
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said Sunday that his country will stop exporting oil to the United States if Venezuela is attacked by Colombia, a close U.S. ally.
The statement comes amid an escalating dispute over charges that Venezuela harbors Colombian rebels.
Chavez is also angry with Bogota over a deal to allow U.S. troops access to a series of military base. He broke off connections with Bogota last week.
Venezuela is America's fifth biggest source of imported oil, supplying about a million barrels a day.
