Nikoyan reminds Baku

The statement of OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing countries representatives in Almaty aimed at demonstrating Baku that no principle stipulated by the Helsinki Final Act can be dominant over another, NA Vice-Speaker, RPA Faction member Samvel Nikoyan told a press conference.

“Aliyev blackmails the international community, makes a statement contradicting OSCE Minsk Group mandate that the Nagorno Karabakh problem is a matter to be resolved by Azerbaijan only. However, I do not think that Minsk Group will yield to that blackmail,” speaker said.

Nikoyan believes that it is very important that Almaty statement lays responsibility for conflict resolution not on leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, but leaders of Armenian and Azerbaijani sides.

In his opinion, it enables Artsakh to return to the negotiating table.
