Gas import and realization volumes decrease
Volume of natural gas imported to Armenia decreased by 19.7 percent in the first six months of 2010 against the same period of the previous year and amounted to AMD 739.3m cubic meters. According to the ArmRosgazprom CJSC, 749.5m cubic meters of gas were realized in the same period, what is less by 13.6 percent against the same index of the previous year.
Volume of gas consumption by population decreased by 16.8 percent in the first six months of 2010 against the previous year and amounted to 286.8m cubic meters.
In the period under review, energy sphere realized over 103.1m cubic meters of gas, what is less by 34.5 percent against the previous year. Gas consumption by other users also decreased by 12.2 percent amounting to over 94.4m cubic meters.
Industrial sphere realized 123.4m cubic meters, what exceeds previous year’s index by 5.7 percent.
