Penalty for road traffic offences increased in Georgia
The penalty for road traffic offences was raised in Georgia. According to Georgian media reports, penalty for drink driving offenses is GEL 200 and in case of inflicting damage to a construction or human body a driver will lose the driving lisense for three years. If a driver avoids taking breath test he will lose driving lisense for three years.
If a driver doesn’t stop the car at the request made by traffic police or leaves the scene he will be fined GEL 300, or will be deprived of driving lisense for a year. Penalty for not using seat belts will be GEL 40.
