UAR: Relief supplies delivered to fire-affected Russian regions
Wildfires killed over 50 people in Russia, left thousands homeless, about 2000 houses burned to the ground.
The Union of Armenians of Russia (UAR) extends its condolences to families of fire victims.
“Our compatriots, citizens of the Russian Federation and the Russian people share the pain of the fire-affected people expressing readiness to provide relief to them,” UAR report mentioned.
According to UAR, over RUR 7m and about 100 tons of humanitarian aid (in total 188 units) have been gathered. On August 12, 2010, the first lot of humanitarian aid was sent to the Voronezh, Nizhegorodsky, and Ryazan regions.
The action on gathering funds and relief supplies continues, UAR reported.
