Kirkuk-Ceyhan pipeline explosion
An explosion at the Kirkuk-Ceyhan oil pipeline, which links the Iraqi city of Kirkuk with the Turkish port of Ceyhan, deprived Turkey of “black gold,” Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported. According to the source, the explosion resulted in the deaths of 2 people.
According to Turkish sources, the explosion was carried out by remote control explosives.
The case is investigated, yet the Official Ankara has already classed the incident as “act of terrorism.” According to Turkish authorities, separatist Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) militants claim responsibility for the explosion.
