Date of NATO exercise in Armenia not yet announced
The date of holding NATO exercise in Armenia is not yet announced, Head of the Turkish delegation to NATO Parliamentary Assembly (PA) Vahid Erdem said in a phone conversation from Ankara, 1news.az reported.
He said that the temporary opening of the border with Armenia “is connected with a number of conditions” adding that the “date of NATO military exercise in Armenia is not yet announced.”
Earlier, it was reported that Turkey is ready to open the border with Armenia between September 11 to 17 within the framework of NATO military exercise. However, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu refuted the rumors.
According to the source, Vahid Erdem said that if the date of exercise is announced, Turkey will not open the border with Armenia even temporarily.
