President of Poland won’t fulfill Saakashvili’s wishes
President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski claimed that Tbilisi should no longer expect the benevolence of Warsaw it used to have under Kaczynski, RBK.ru reported citing the Georgia Public Television which cites Komorowski’s interview to Rzeczpospolita [Polish newspaper].
“I won’t go abroad only because the president of Georgia wants so,” Komorowski said.
He also made two mutually excluding statements on Abkhazia and South Ossetia issue. “Poland, surely, must unambiguously campaign for the right of all nations for self-determination and own independency,” the Polish leader said and added that his country would stick to the principle of territorial integrity of Georgia.
Komorowski also criticized the deployment of Russian S-300 system in Abkhazia, yet added Georgia also shouldn’t build up its military presence in the region.
“Every new armament, building of military objects in this place doesn’t benefit from the point of view of region’s stabilization. It also refers to both parties, to Georgians as well,” he noted.
