Food prices go up uncontrollably in Georgia
An uncontrollable rise in food prices is observed in Georgia.
Particularly, wholesale meat prices rose in average by GEL 2, cheese prices by about GEL 1.
Market traders say prices for “almost all foodstuffs” went up, oreadna.ru reported citing liga.net. Rise in prices started with bread prices that went up 15-20 percent due to Russia’s grain export suspension, with 80 percent Georgian market that used to be supplied with Russian grain.
