Iran successfully test fires Fateh 110 missile
Iran has test fired its surface-to-surface Fateh 110 missile, Associated Press reported citing the state television.
Iranian media said the Fateh 110 missile is nine metres long and weighs 3,500 kilograms.
The TV Press channel's website quoted Defence Minister Ahmad Vahidi as saying that the third generation Fateh 110 was a "single stage solid propellant" missile with a longer range.
It’s worth mentioning that less than a week ago a similar test was carried out on another missile – Qiam-1 short range missile, which was propelled by liquid fuel. Defence Minister Ahmad Vahidi said on Friday that the tests were carried out successfully.
