Netanyahu plans to meet with Abbas every two weeks
Israel's Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is planning to meet with Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas once in two weeks to discuss key issues related to the settlement to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Netanyahu is going to initiate this at the September 2 direct talks between parties of the Middle East conflict, in Washington, Russian media reported citing Jerusalem Post paper which covered Thursday’s evening meeting between Netanyahu and his advisors and assistants.
Netanyahu said that “only direct and continuous contacts” with Abbas’ Palestinian national administration can lead to breakthrough on key issues related to the settlement. Delegations of the two countries should come to an agreement on details “quickly, meticulously and with deep seriousness,” he said.
The Israeli delegation will head the leading Palestinian issue specialist Yitzhak Molho. The delegation will include also senior officials of Netanyahu’s administration, Foreign Ministry and Defense Ministry.
