Three workers killed in blast at Georgia’s Mindeli mine
Rescuers have found three victims of the blast that rocked the Mindeli mine in eastern Georgia late Friday.
Georgian authorities before said that 7 out of 11 workers were seriously injured and rushed to hospitals, while four others were reported missing. At the moment, bodies of the three killed workers are found. One worker survived the blast.
In line with the preliminary reports, the blast was caused by leak of methane.
Nearly half a year ago, another blast at the Mindeli mine killed four workers and wounded several others, Rosbalt-Caucasus reported. Authorities later said that the deadly accident was caused by leak of methane.
