Quake hits northern Iranian province killing two
A quake hit Iranian province of Semnan in the north of the country late Friday, killing two people and injuring nearly 40 others, local media reported.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake measured 5.7, and damaged three villages, according to state television of Iran.
The quake was centered in Damghan town about 278 km south of Tehran. Reportedly, earthquake also shook an area east of Tehran.
