Rumbles between leaders cause terminal’s removal in Baku
The newly renovated Nakcivan terminal of the international airport of Baku is now being crashed, and will be replaced by a new international terminal. Part of the planned 100-million-manat will be directed from the state budget of Azerbaijan. The Nakcivan terminal will be temporary placed on the territory of a café in the southern terminal; all the preparation and constriction works for the removal are underway.
“What is the reason that AZAL’s director Jakhangir Askerov is crashing the recently renewed qualitative terminal which valued at millions?” Azadliq paper said.
Some sources say that the reason comes from cold relations between Askerov and self-proclaimed chairman of the Nakcivan Supreme Majlis Vasif Talybov, as they can’t come to an agreement in relation to the airport of Nakcivan,
“Probably, Askerov is trying to make the issue worse via crashing the terminal, and at least to take under own control the airport of Nakcivan,” said in the paper.
