Protesters in Baku burn flags of Armenia, Israel, US, and UK

On September 3, Azerbaijan’s capital staged a rally on the occasion of the International Day of Al-Quds. The participants called for Muslims of the world to join forces against the United States and international Zionism.

REGNUM informational agency reports that protesters chanted slogans “Death to US!”, “Death to Israel!” and so on. Demonstrators say that Zionism has lost its weight today in the civilized world, while the Azerbaijani public hates Israel and Zionism.

Chairman of the Unity Party Khudu Khudiev in his speech accused the European countries and the U.S. of hypocrisy. He stressed that the Karabakh conflict is identical to Palestinian conflict.

The rally was followed by burning of flags of Armenia, Israel, the U.S., and Great Britain; the protesters also burnt a scarecrow of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
