Armenian Prime Minister Handball CUP goes to Belorussia
The Second Armenian PM International Handball Cup Championship has been held in Armenia’s Vanadzor town. Among attendees of the event were Armenia’s Prime Minister Tigran Sarkisian and President of the International Handball Federation Hasan Mustafa.
Men’s teams from Armenia, Iran, Belorussia and Georgia participated in the championship.
Prime Minister Sarkisian said in his remarks welcoming the participants: “Dear friends, I sincerely congratulate you on this festive event. I think you’ll agree that the tournament turned out well. It will give a new impetus to the development of handball in Armenia. And thank you for your beautiful game.”
The championship’s results: the team from Belorussia won the final round of the tournament and seeded the first. Armenia’s team took the second place, Iranian team seeded the third, and the team from Georgia became the forth.
