Ukrainian-Armenian Business Forum kicked off in Kiev
The Ukrainian-Armenian Business Forum opened Monday at the Chamber of Commerce of Ukraine in Kiev.
The Armenian delegation of 15 companies is representing spheres of car engineering industry, high technologies, commodities, and spheres of exporting and importing. Within the framework of the business forum an agreement on cooperation between Armenian and Ukrainian Chambers of Commerce will be signed.
The turnover between the two countries in first half of 2010 increased by 52,5% in comparison with last year’s figures and reached $96,7 million and is equal to 5,4% of foreign trade of Armenia, according to Armenia’s National Statistics. Negative balance of turnover between Armenia and Ukraine increased by 56,3% in 2010’s January-June and reached $87,1 million.
The first Ukrainian-Armenian Business Forum was held in Armenian capital Yerevan in 1998.
