Vatican tries to save the Iranian condemned to death
Vatican tries to persuade the leadership of Iran to invalidate the sentence of death of 43 years old Sakine Ashtian who was condemned for the adultery.
As the “Liberty” radio station informs the Pope of Rome Benedicts XVI is concerned with the destiny of the Iranian who has got 2 children.
The sentence of Ashtiani has roused a great public response. The leadership of Brasilia has even offered to shelter the woman; however Tehran has refused that initiation.
