Soldier commits suicide in Azerbaijan: 5th obit over recent days

A soldier of the Army of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, recruited by the Gusar recruitment office in July of 2009, killed himself Tuesday in the afternoon, local media reported.

Faig Nifteliev (born in 1990) committed suicide by shooting himself. Local media reported that Nifteliev was to discharge in four months after serving in border troops of the Lenkoran unit.

Military officials don’t comment the incident. Meanwhile this is the fifth statement on soldier’s death due to “self-shooting” or “illness” over recent days.

Among other casualties are 19-year-old Alyaddin Jalilov (shot himself dead, 31 August 2010), 19-year-old Namig Pirmamedov (died “shooting himself”, 1 September 2010), Tadjaddin Sadygov (run off the military unit and them committed suicide, September 2, 2010), and Javad Abdullayev (“suffered from illness and died”, September 3, 2010).
