Somalia pirates hijack ship with Georgians, Turks aboard
Pirates have hijacked a Maltese-flagged MV OLIB G merchant ship off the coast of Somalia, Proua.com reported citing the statement released on the web-site of the Anti-Piracy Atalanta mission.
The ship has 18 crew members, of these 15 are Georgian citizens and three more are from Turkey.
The captured ship was sailing in a corridor recommended by a coalition of naval forces that patrol the Gulf of Aden. It was in the eastern waters of the Gulf of Aden when was attacked and hijacked. There were not any negotiations with pirates yet.
