Iran delays Saturday’s release of an American woman
Iranian authorities have cancelled Saturday's planned release of an American native Sarah Shourd, accused of spying and illegally entering the Islamic republic, because of unresolved legal issues, officials said.
Sarah Shourd, 31, was arrested along with two other tourists from the United States last year on July at the Iraq-Iran border. They have been accused of spying and illegal entry.
Local media quoted country’s officials as saying that the judicial process had not been fulfilled yet and that the release was postponed and details would be announced later.
