Erdogan to continue working on changes to Constitution
A solid majority of Turkish voters approved sweeping changes to their Constitution as with 99% of the vote counted, 58% had cast ballots in favor of the constitutional amendments.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday that the government will continue working over the new Constitution, as local media quoted him as saying. He said that since Monday the authorized bodies will set to determine the following steps and the road map. “We will continue in this direction and will take into account opinions and arguments from every layer of society and will chose the most acceptable compromises,” said Erdogan at Justice and Development Party’s central headquarter.
"Our nation has said from now on, we go forward," Erdogan said.
