NKR Armed Forces: Azerbaijan ignores OSCE’s efforts

The military of the Armed Forces of Nagorno Karabakh (NKR) have denied the information spread by Azerbaijan that a soldier of the NKR Armed Forces had been captured.

In particular, Azerbaijani media released reports Monday that on September 11 in the north-eastern direction of the line of contact between Azerbaijan and Nagorno Karabakh a diversionary group of several armed persons crossed the border and invaded in the opposite side. One of the soldiers was captured, said local media.

However, a press office of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan released a statement reading the following: “The spread information goes wrong with the reality and is a traditional disinformation of the Azerbaijani side. There was not such kind of incident across the Armenia-Azerbaijan line of contact either. This disinformation one more tome shows that Azerbaijan’s authorities go on destabilizing the situation in the region through false information and are trying to mislead the international community and are ignoring the OSCE mission aimed at settlement to the Karabakh conflict.”
