Prime Minister: Small economies affected by competition
Sixth Fruitful Armenia international conference kicked off today in Yerevan with winemaking and grape growing experts, marketing specialists from France, Argentina, Italy, Austria, Australia and other wine-making countries attending it.
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan addressing the conference said that large investments were made in winemaking over the past years, which allows to raise the quality of products, to introduce new technologies and to expand the farms. However, small economies are affected by the competition, according to the Premier. Sargsyan offered amalgamation of small economies and creation of cooperation as ways of resolving the problem.
Tigran Sargsyan presented the key provisions of the development strategy of agriculture and rural areas.
Wine tasting and wine competition will be held within the framework of the Fruitful Armenia conference. Famous wine consultant Michel Rolland will judge the wine competition.
