Armenia stands for peace and stability, says FM Nalbandian
Armenia’s Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, who is on an official visit to Iran, has met with his Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki, Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesperson told media.
Parties discussed joint political, economical and cultural programs between the two countries and touched upon activities within the framework of the inter-governmental commission on economical cooperation,
Referring to the economical issues, Foreign Minister Nalbandian said that Armenia keeps firm for long-time peace and stability in the region and stands for solving the problems through peace talks. At the request of Mr Mottaki, Edward Nalbandian told about the process of settlement to the Karabakh conflict.
Iranian Foreign Minister, in his part, told about last developments around the nuclear program of the country. Edward Nalbandian expressed hope that both Iran and international community will reach mutually beneficial agreement on the issue.
