New cycle track to open in Yerevan in July 2011
Director-General of Renko Building Holding Mr Giovanni Rubini told media at the ceremony of opening of Piazza Grande that the company is conducting a project to build a cycle track in Armenian capital Yerevan.
He said he hopes the works will end by July 2011, and a new cycle track will be put into operation. The cycle track is located on 27/8 Admiral Isakov Str., it has a square of 2 hectares and can accommodate 3,200 spectators.
The project’s investment package is 6 billion drams.
Mr Giovanni Rubini told reporters that construction works will be conducted on the territory of the old cycle track.
Yerevan’s Mayor Gagik Beglarian said in his remarks that the new cycle track will become the best one in the region and will be a place for exercises for bicyclist and other sportsmen.
“Everything we do – we do for children’s sake. The cycle track will become the best present for our children,” Gagik Beglarian said.
