Iran to be engaged in talks on its disputed nuclear program
Foreign Ministers of the six powers will gather together on Wednesday to review the latest UN sanctions against Tehran. The six powers (the United States, Russia, China, Britain and France -- plus Germany) are meeting as Iran said it was ready to discuss its nuclear program soon. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran said Tuesday that he saw a "good chance" that talks could soon resume with the United States and its allies over Iran's nuclear program because "there is no other alternative."
"We are prepared to constructively engage Iran and would hope that Iran will be prepared to have the same kind of meeting that occurred last year," State Department spokesman Philip Crowley said.
