Alexander Lukashenko to run for president
On Friday, Belarussian Central Electoral Commission brought to a stop the receipt of applications to register candidates for presidency of the country.
Current-sitting country’s President Alexander Lukashenko, in power since 1994, is among candidates and will run again in the upcoming December 19 presidential elections.
However, Alexander Lukashenko hasn’t made any official statements on his decision to run, BelaPAN agency reported.
According to the Central Electoral Commission, total of 19 groups submitted a note to the Commission to register their candidates.
