Medvedev goes away - Putin comes back, says Saakashvili
Georgia’s President Mikheil Saakashvili once again has criticized Russian authorities. A week after his remarkable interview with American Fox News television channel, in which he accused Russia’s Prime Minister Vladimir Putin of ruthless attitude towards his own nation, Georgian President guested on Al Jazeera television channel’s show.
“Putin’s coming back,” said Saakashvili according to Gazeta.ru.
“I have a feeling that Medvedev is stepping down and Putin is coming back. Liveral-oriented Medvedev can completely have such a wish, but it is contrary to wishes of “the bad boy” Putin,” Georgia Online quoted Saakashvili as saying.
In his above-mentioned interview with Fox News, Saakashvili said that Russia has illegally occupied part of Georgian territory, and that “Khodorkovsky served a sentence in GULAG,” and that Moscow isn’t interested in solving the conflict around Iranian nuclear programme and that is why wants to “capitalize” its participation. Saakashvili accused Russia’s Prime Minister Putin of ruthless attitude towards his own nation and said that the power as before is in his hands.
