Georgian customs officials curb smuggling from Turkey
Georgian customs officials have detained Zurab Katamadze, who was trying to enter Georgia carrying illegally 37 kilograms of silver jewelry.
The incident occurred Wednesday at the Tbilisi International Airport, Rosbalt agency reported citing Georgian officials. Zurab Katamadze carried the jewelry including bracelets, rings, and necklaces in two bags from Turkey. He admitted his guilt. If the court rules the case against him, then he will be given a jail term from three to seven years.
