Turkey in Akhltskha will implement an energy project
Yesterday in Istanbul Turkish and Georgian Energy Minister Tener Yeldezn and Alexander Khetaguri signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of electricity.
As Novosti Gruzia reports according to the agreement during the winter months Turkey will support Georgia with electricity and in summer on the contrary, Georgia will support Turkey.
Besides that by the agreement Turkey is planning a construction of a power line in Akhltskha. The construction works are to be implemented in 2011.
“Due to those power lines Georgia is tended to export its own extra energy as well as Armenia’s and Azerbaijan,” the source mentions.
