G. Vashadze gives lecture in Diplomatic School at MFA
On October 4, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan met with his Georgian counterpart Grigol Vashadze who is in Armenia on a working visit, MFA press office reported.
The Foreign Ministers had a private talk followed by a meeting with the participation of delegations.
Welcoming Grigol Vashadze and his delegation Edward Nalbandyan attached importance to regular contacts between the two Foreign Ministries as a firm basis for further development of mutually beneficial relations.
The Ministers discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral relations.
The interlocutors addressed the process of implementation of agreements reached between the Armenian and Georgian Presidents, cooperation in spheres of transport and energy, development of tourism, organization of business forums, cooperation at international organizations, holding consultations between the Ministries.
Problems faced by the Armenian community in Georgia, particularly, education and preservation of Armenian cultural heritage, were touched upon on Armenian party’s initiative.
Minister Nalbandyan expressed satisfaction with the active exchanges in the cultural sphere attaching importance to keeping the positive experience.
The meeting of the Ministers was followed by their joint press conference.
Grigol Vashadze gave a lecture on Georgia’s foreign policy in the Diplomatic School at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
