Ambassador of Belarus: Minsk is unbiased in NKR issue
Official Minsk has repeatedly stated that it supports peaceful and complete resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict based on three principles of international law, and resolution of the conflict should reflect the interests of all parties, Ambassador of Belarus to Armenia Stepan Sukharenko told a press conference answering aysor.am correspondent’s question of whether Azerbaijani media distorts Belarusian President Alexander Lukhashenko’s statements saying that official Minsk supports only Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity.
“This issue is much speculated on. We are unbiased,” Ambassador said.
As to the prospects of Nagorno Karabakh settlement, the Ambassador stressed that the conflict can be resolved within Minsk Group only.
According to Stepan Sukharenko, it is still too early to speak about the final resolution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict and organization of a conference in Minsk to sign a reconciliation agreement.
“It is not Belarus that should decide when to hold that conference,” Sukharenko stated.
