Armenia ranks second in industrial production growth rate
The CIS Statistics Committee released a report on main macroeconomic indicators for the first half-year of 2010. According to the report, in the period under review, Kyrgyzstan ranks first in the industrial production growth rate (41.8 percent). Armenia ranks second (12.3 percent), with industrial production growth rate exceeding threefold the analogous indicator of Azerbaijan. In Tajikistan and Ukraine industrial production growth rate amounted to 12 percent, in Kazakhstan 11 percent, in Russia 10.2 percent, in Belarus 8.8 percent, in Uzbekistan 8 percent, in Moldova 6.6 percent. In total, in CIS, industrial production growth rate amounted to 10 percent.
Kazakhstan ranks first among CIS countries in GDP growth rate (8.3 percent). Uzbekistan’s GDP growth amounted to 8 percent, Tajikistan’s 7.4 percent, Armenia’s 6.7 percent, Belarus’ 6.6 percent, Turkmenistan’s 6.15 percent, Kyrgyzstan’s 5 percent, Ukraine’s 4.9 percent, Moldova’s 4.7 percent, Azerbaijan’s 3.7 percent. In the period under review, Russia’s GDP increased by 2.9 percent, according to Imperia.ru.
