France seeks to become Armenia’s economic partner
The Armenian-French business forum kicked off today in Yerevan within the framework of the Armenian-French conference on decentralized cooperation, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia and French-Armenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Marseilles.
Head of the French and French-Armenian businessmen’s delegation, Chairwoman of the French-Armenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Angel Melkonian stated that French businessmen taking part in the forum express readiness to meet with Armenian businessmen to discuss cooperation programs.
“Being Armenia’s longtime political partner France now seeks to become also Armenia’s economic partner. Chambers of Commerce and Industry play an important role in economic partnership between the two countries. Our mission is establishment of contacts between companies of Armenia and France to exchange experience and technologies,” A. Melkonyan said.
According to her, the French delegation also plans to organize exchange of Armenian and French students.
Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia Andranik Alexanyan said that Armenian businessmen “do their utmost” but their abilities are limited due to problem with the roads.
“Our main riches are human and natural resources,” Alexanyan stated.
