Erdogan promises to expand assistance to NATO
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan promised to expand assistance to NATO at a meeting with NATO Secretary General Andres Fog Rasmussen, according to Trend.
“As an ally, Turkey plans to expand assistance to NATO. We prioritize the new strategic conception and reforms within the framework of NATO. Besides, Turkey will strain every effort to assist Afghan people,” Erdogan stated.
In return, Rasmussen stated that NATO leadership highly assesses Turkey’s support to Afghanistan stressing Turkey’s important role in NATO.
