Georgia to adopt new Constitution this week
Georgian parliament is set to adopt edited draft Constitution by October 15, without getting Venice Commission proposals, Caucasian Knot reported quoting Georgian parliament Vice Speaker Mikhail Machavariani.
“We have actively cooperated with Venice Commission and presented the draft to the Commission in Strasbourg,” Machavariani stated.
Note that new Constitution of Georgia envisages increase in parliament authority and partial reduction in President’s power.
